This year we are trying something new! We want to make it as easy as possible to find a roommate or carpool, but we also want to be cautious so that members aren’t putting their personal information on a public online bulletin board. The Discord server works well, but not everyone is a Discord user, yet!
For 2024 Roommates and Carpools – Email support@tws-west.org if you’d like to be added to our roommate and carpool spreadsheet. We’ll verify that folks are registered for the meeting before adding their name and contact info to the list, and then we’ll share the spreadsheet with you so you can find a match amongst a list of verified meeting attendees. Of course, please be safe and use common sense in making your arrangements. To sign up, email us the following information:
- Looking for carpool, roommate or both
- Travel dates
- Location start location
- Comments
Did you know the Western Section has an online space very similar to the Annual Meeting Whova app where you can get together to chat with other section members all year long?
Use our special channel for preparing for our upcoming events! Chat about the 2024 Annual Meeting, find a carpool or even a room buddy on the Discord server!
- Click on the link to join our Discord server – click to accept the RULES, then head to the ROLES channel and choose any roles that might apply to you. You will find the 2024 Annual Meeting and ride/room share channels under the 2024 Events heading in the Channels sidebar on the left side of the window. Be sure to explore all of the channels on our spaces, you will find channels for your school or chapter, for sharing field pics, or for connecting with a group of your peers (check out our LGBTQI+ and BIPOC spaces!).
